- I was born and raised in northern California and moved to Boulder in 1993 . I have worked exclusively in Saint Vrain Valley School District at Sanborn Elementary for the past 10 years. I have a background in therapeutic adaptive recreation, head trauma rehabilitation and therapeutic Pilates . I love getting to help such a broad age span of children develop their speech and language skills in such a supportive environment, giving them the tools for social and emotional connections. I have learned so much about teaching clear communication from being a mother . My daughter is 20 now and is considering becoming a therapist or nutritional consultant. I have a husband , 2 rambunctious hiking/swimming dogs and 9 chickens ! When I am not at school I love to hike, play guitar, practice yoga and Pilates , read , lift weights and travel whenever possible !
