Dear Sanborn Dragon Thunder,

We hope your children had a rejuvenating 4 day weekend break and are ready for an enriching third trimester. It’s been wonderful to witness their enthusiasm and dedication in the classroom, setting a promising tone for the months ahead. As we step into spring, we’re excited to announce a lineup of engaging events for your children. From field trips to the Drama Performance, there’s plenty to look forward to! Let’s work together to make this trimester memorable and full of growth for our students.

Hello Sanborn Families!  February is the month that Sanborn Elementary participates in the 5210+ Challenge.  We have been talking about it in P.E. and getting ready.  This is a free challenge that is sponsored by UC Health.  Students and staff try to make healthier choices based on the 5210+ recommendations.  When they have achieved the daily challenges, they check off the box on their Tracking Log that they received in their 1/30/2024 Tuesday Folder.  If Students and Staff check 80 challenges or more, they receive a 5210+ T-shirt.  IF Sanborn has the highest number of participants, we receive up to $1000 of prize money.  We can do this Dragons!

DRAGON DROPS

Science is all around us, and finding ways to incorporate it into our daily lives can be both fun and educational for our children. Whether it’s observing nature on a walk, conducting simple experiments in the kitchen, or discussing the science behind everyday phenomena, there are countless opportunities to spark curiosity and foster a love for learning. Encouraging questions, exploring answers together, and nurturing a sense of wonder can go a long way in cultivating a deeper understanding of the world around us. Let’s embark on this scientific journey with our children, igniting their passion for discovery one conversation at a time.
