Parent & Community Involvement

Parent, guardian, and family engagement is important in supporting the success of Sanborn students. Accordingly, there are many ways for our families to get involved.

The Sanborn Accountability Committee meets once a month and is open to all Sanborn parents. This group monitors and sets goals related to student achievement, safety, and school culture. Colorado law requires assembly of such a committee in every public school and gives specific guidelines for its function. Serving on this accountability committee is a great way to stay in touch with the day-to-day operations of the school and closely monitor programming. Our group is very active and discussions from this committee have resulted in some innovative programming at Sanborn!

PASS stands for Parent Association for Sanborn Students. We are here to help our kids, school, and community to strive.

Our group meets monthly to discuss current issues and events at Sanborn. We initiate fundraisers, organize school events, and assist the school in any way we can.

Join us for a monthly meeting – it is easy and fun to work with your parent community. Show your support for all of our kids and for our awesome school!

Are you wondering how you can support all of the great things that go on at Sanborn?

Parents have the opportunity to support school wide fundraisers in a variety of ways. All of the money raised goes directly to helping our school and supporting our kids. In the past, money raised through fundraising has been used to purchase technology, hire additional support staff, support classroom instruction, and buy new books for the Sanborn library!

Money helps make the school better in so many ways, and parents can contribute by doing what they already do! Sanborn has fundraisers that draw funds from our everyday actions and purchases. Easy, simple and at no cost to parents!

Some fundraising you can do:

  • Grocery Shopping at King Soopers/Safeway
  • Amazon Smile
  • Saving Box tops
  • Collecting Longmont Dairy milk caps

Make a promise to Sanborn to participate in at least one of the fundraising programs, and watch the dollars you raise go to work for our kids!

This is a group for dads to help out at school and show the kids that dads are awesome! If you would like to join or learn more, email Ken Allen at [email protected]
