Parent & Community Involvement

Parent, guardian, and family engagement is important in supporting the success of Sanborn students. Accordingly, there are many ways for our families to get involved.

Parent Volunteers

If you are interested in volunteering in your student’s classroom or at the school, please contact your student’s teacher or our front office at 303-772-3838.

PASS stands for Parent Association for Sanborn Students. We are here to help our kids, school, and community to strive.

Our group meets monthly to discuss current issues and events at Sanborn. We initiate fundraisers, organize school events, and assist the school in any way we can.

Join us for a monthly meeting – it is easy and fun to work with your parent community. Show your support for all of our kids and for our awesome school!

School Accountability Committee

The School Accountability Committee is an opportunity for parents and community members to have a voice in the continuous school improvement process. This team of volunteers meets  3 times per year to review school data and achievement testing results.  Members of the team learn about the continuous school improvement process as well as the progress of the students at Sanborn Elementary, and offer insight and feedback.   The School Improvement Committee is an excellent way for members of the Sanborn community to help us continue to achieve our very best. Meeting dates are on our school calendar. For more information, please contact our front office.

Are you wondering how you can support all of the great things that go on at Sanborn?

Parents have the opportunity to support school wide fundraisers in a variety of ways. All of the money raised goes directly to helping our school and supporting our kids. In the past, money raised through fundraising has been used to purchase technology, hire additional support staff, support classroom instruction, and buy new books for the Sanborn library!

Money helps make the school better in so many ways, and parents can contribute by doing what they already do! Sanborn has fundraisers that draw funds from our everyday actions and purchases. Easy, simple and at no cost to parents!

Some fundraising you can do:

  • Grocery Shopping at King Soopers/Safeway
  • American Furniture Warehouse
  • Box Tops for Education
  • Longmont Dairy Milk Caps for Moola
  • Monthly Restaurant Nights

Make a promise to Sanborn to participate in at least one of the fundraising programs, and watch the dollars you raise go to work for our kids!
