Hello Dragon Families,

It was wonderful to see so many of our families in the building for parent-teacher conferences. These conversations are such an important part of strengthening our partnership as we work together to support Sanborn students academically and socially. As we head into the final stretch before spring break, it’s hard to believe how quickly the year is moving. We also want to remind families to please complete the Parent Survey, indicating your enrollment preference for the 2026–27 school year. This information is a critical part of our planning process and helps us prepare thoughtfully for next year. Thank you, as always, for your continued support and cooperation. I truly appreciate our Sanborn community!

Sincerely,

Lori Peeples

Principal

Sanborn – North Ridge Consolidation Information

Please Complete the Family Survey by THIS FRIDAY, February 20

As we navigate the transition following the planned consolidation of Sanborn Elementary with Northridge Elementary in the 2027-2028 school year, we need to hear from every family. Please complete the enrollment preference survey by Friday, February 20. This survey helps us understand your plans for next year and allows us to develop the staffing plan for Sanborn’s 2026-2027 school year. The survey is not a binding decision, but the preliminary data is essential for our planning. If you need assistance, a survey station is available in the main office.

CMAS Testing Window

Beginning on April 7th – April 24th, 2026, Colorado students in grades 3 through 5 will be participating in CMAS, which measures student proficiency on the Colorado Academic Standards. These standards serve as clear guidelines for what students should know and be able to do by the end of the academic year across various grade levels and subject areas. The assessments cover English language arts and math for grades 3-5, and science for grade 5. CMAS is a critical tool in assessing student progress and ensuring that our educational system is meeting the needs of our students. To help your child perform their best on these assessments, it is essential that they are well-rested and present during their scheduled testing. To avoid missed instruction due to makeup testing, we kindly request that appointments and vacations be scheduled for non-testing days.
