SHINE A LIGHT ON EXTRAORDINARY EDUCATORS!!!

(Formerly known as “Tribute to Teachers”)

The annual Celebration of Excellence event honors outstanding educators from every St. Vrain Valley school who go above and beyond for students. One educator from each school will be named Educator of the Year, with a district-wide honoree announced at the Celebration of Excellence in April.

Colleagues, students, parents, and community members are encouraged to nominate educators through February 1. Don’t miss your chance to recognize an exceptional educator!

SANBORN’S ROBOTICS TEAM WILL BE COMPETING ON SATURDAY–JANUARY 31ST AT TIMBERLINE PK-8 SCHOOL!!!!

The doors will open at 8:00AM for teams only.

Qualification matches start at approximately 10:45 AM.

Let’s cheer them on and celebrate the teamwork, innovation, and perseverance that make our students shine. Go Robotics Team!

Quantities are limited, so order while you can to ensure your child receives one! In past years, we’ve had some disappointed students, and we want to prevent that from happening. THANK YOU!!

AFTER SCHOOL ENRICHMENT CLASSES FOR FEBRUARY

The district is offering Half Year iPad insurance for new students, as well as current students who did not opt into insurance at the beginning of the school year.

As new students enroll, they will automatically be assigned the $12.50 fee with an expiration date of 2 weeks.  Parents will have 2 weeks to pay the fee before it is automatically voided.

For existing students who did not opt in at beginning of the school year, parents can pay for insurance for the remainder of the school year for $12.50.  THE IPAD WILL HAVE TO BE INSPECTED AT SCHOOL BEFORE WE CAN OFFER THAT INSURANCE TO YOU. ALSO–ALL UNPAID INSURANCE FEE BALANCES MUST BE PAID.

LUNAR NEW YEAR

In partnership with the St. Vrain Valley School District, the Asian-Pacific Assn. of Longmont is proud to host it’s annual Lunar New Year Festival on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Silver Creek High School. This free, multicultural celebration is open to the entire community of Longmont, Boulder County and beyond. This festival promotes inclusivity and diversity by bringing people together in a fun, positive, and interactive environment for cultural learning and exchange.

This year’s event will feature a special drone show presented by the St. Vrain Innovation Center Drone Performance Team, showcasing select winning artwork from the SVVSD “Draw the Horse” contest.

Leadership St. Vrain is a program designed to give parents and community members the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of district operations and exchange ideas. If you want to learn more about our school district, meet a wide variety of district officials, share information with your school community and get to know engaged parents from schools across the district, we hope you consider applying for Leadership St. Vrain. It’s a serious commitment of time, but we believe it’s an invaluable learning opportunity.

All Leadership St. Vrain meetings will be held in-person at a different location each month. 

Meetings will run from 9:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. on the dates and locations listed below:

SVVSD Leadership Rep

100 Mile Club is a wonderful opportunity for students to participate in physical activity which will help them better focus on their learning, and develop an appreciation for running.  Registration and payment is all online. Please click HERE to register and pay for 100 Mile Club. The registration fee for 100 Mile Club is $25 per runner.   Students can sign up for 100MC at any time during the school year.  Practice dates are on our school calendar.
