We are excited to invite you to the St. Vrain Valley Schools Public Education Parade, which will take place on Saturday, September 7 at 10:00 a.m. This special event will showcase all the incredible schools and programs in our district, including Sanborn Elementary School! It’s a wonderful opportunity to witness the powerful partnership between our schools and the community, celebrating the amazing work being done across St. Vrain.
The parade will begin at Roosevelt Park, then proceed east on Longs Peak to Main Street, travel south on Main to 4th Avenue, and head east on 4th Avenue to Kimbark Street. It will continue north on Kimbark back to Longs Peak and return to Roosevelt Park. The announcer’s table will be in front of the Longmont Chamber of Commerce—this area will be one of the best viewing spots for spectators!
We hope to see our Dragon Community out there in full force to enjoy the parade and celebrate Sanborn and SVVSD!
Dear Sanborn Families–
100 Mile Club is a wonderful opportunity for students to participate in physical activity which will help them better focus on their learning, and develop an appreciation for running. Registration and payment is all online this year. Please click HERE to register and pay for 100 Mile Club. The registration fee for 100 Mile Club is $25 per runner. If you plan on signing up, please do so quickly, so I can create lanyards and prepare for our first practice. (Students can sign up for 100MC at any time during the school year.) Preschool students can participate but an adult must stay for the duration of practice. Our practices will start on Monday, September 9, 2024.
Practice times are:
- Mondays: 7:45am -8:15am
- Wednesdays: 7:45am-8:15am
- Fridays: 7:45-8:15am
We meet behind the school on the blacktop by the playground and run in the field.
Sign up for the Remind App
This is how we will communicate 100 MC updates and cancellations.

Clothing Reminder
Check the weather before sending your child to 100 MC and make sure they have appropriate clothing. The mornings can be significantly cooler than your child’s afternoon recess.
We encourage you to send your child with extra shoes and socks. Some days the wet grass can leave our 100 Milers with soggy feet!
**If we have inclement weather, or temperatures below 25 degrees, we will not have practice. We do not have an option to move 100 MC indoors. Please sign up for Remind so you can receive cancellation updates!
This is going to be a great year! I can’t wait to see you out on the blacktop!
Your 100 Mile Coach,
Kim Pridemore
2024-2025 SVVSD CODE OF CONDUCT- Signature Required
Every year, St. Vrain Valley Schools prints an up-to-date version of the Code of Conduct for students and families to review. This important document guides students and school staff on what expectations for school conduct and the consequences for behaviors that fall outside of those expectations. It is important that families review this information every year and acknowledge their receipt and understanding of this document. To this end, please click here to access an electronic version of the Code of Conduct for the current school year. After you have reviewed this information, all families must sign an electronic acknowledgement that they have received, read, and understand the information contained, including the Annual Notification to Parents/Guardians; Behavioral Code of Conduct; Rights and Responsibilities of Students and Parents; and Board of Education Policies book. To sign your electronic acknowledgement, please follow the steps described here.
ARRIVAL AND DISMISSAL
To help ensure safety and provide the most efficient environment during arrival and dismissal time, we appreciate all families helping to follow our procedures. In the parking lot/Walk Up side- please only park in provided spaces. We ask students to have an adult with them as they walk through the lot. On the Drive-Up side, please allow for the movement of vehicles through the Drive-Up line. Please stay in your vehicle and continue to pull forward and allow other cars to move through the line with you. If you choose to park on the opposite side of the street, please use the crosswalks at either end of the street to get to the school. Thank you for your cooperation.
All students in SVVSD have access to free school meals thanks to the Healthy School Meals for All program approved by Colorado voters. Please continue to fill out the Education Benefit Form every year as this helps our district access all available funds and grants to assist in educational programs for students. Families who fill out the form may qualify to receive discounted school fees, class materials, utilities support and more! Please click HERE for more information.
We wanted to provide some clarification on purchasing milk from the lunchroom. Students can purchase milk from the cafeteria for 75 cents. They can give the money to cashier. HOWEVER—even if they bring a cold lunch they can get free milk by getting a hot lunch as well. From the district website:
What makes a meal free?
A student must take at least 3 components, 1 being a 1/2c fruit or vegetable. A good rule of thumb:
- 1 Entrée (equals 2 components), and 1/2 cup of fruit or vegetable; or
- 1/2 cup fruit, 1/2 cup vegetable, and a milk; or
- Any 4 or more components! Students are welcome to take 1 serving of each food group (meat/meat alternate, grain, fruit, vegetable, milk).
We are registering for all grades!!
Please visit the SVVSD enrollment webpage for more information or contact our Registrar, Sarah Adams, [email protected] (303)772-3838.
