My name is Maisie Sky and I am the Music Teacher and Gifted and Talented Coordinator here at Sanborn Elementary. I also serve as our Soaring Dragon Singers Choir Director and the Music Director for the Sanborn Drama Club. Before teaching in Longmont, I taught elementary music in Ault, CO.

I graduated with my Bachelor's Degree in K-12 Music Education from Colorado State University with an emphasis in Choral/Vocal Education. Although singing is a passion of mine, I also have an instrumental background as a trumpet player, and play ukulele as well. Having this background allows me to give students lots of different opportunities in the classroom to sing, play instruments, compose, improvise, arrange, and most importantly, develop an enjoyment and love of music! Music teaches us to be proud of who we are and ignites imagination and creativity in kids.

When I am not teaching, I enjoy gardening, baking, cross-stitching, and singing in the Laudamus Chamber Chorale out of Fort Collins, CO.
