I am a proud Colorado native and have lived in Northern Colorado since 2015. For a couple of years, I lived and taught in Hawaii, but always felt the pull of the Colorado mountains. Since moving back to Colorado, my family and I have been rooted in St Vrain with my spouse working in the district and my son attending St Vrain Schools.

I began my teaching career in 2007 as a middle school paraprofessional. I transitioned into teaching special education in 2010 and worked in that capacity in Colorado Springs, Maui, and St. Vrain. In 2021, I graduated with my Masters degree in Social Work from MSU Denver.

My favorite activities include reading, hiking, baking bread, playing board games and spending time with my family and pups.

I am passionate about collaborating with students, school staff, and families to make school a safe space where students feel like they belong.
